Canhost maintains an data storage facility in Kelowna British Columbia, Canada.

Network Control Center
Canhost Network Control Center (NCC) is staffed by technicians dedicated to ensure maximum reliability and performance. Its technicians are able to detect and resolve networking issues on multi-homed fiber networks, enabling Canhost to be proactive rather than reactive. The NCC is the heart of Canhost .

Core Switching & Routing
Canhost uses Cisco's advanced routing equipment. Its network utilizes redundant links between key routing devices, providing continuous connected internet service.

Redundant Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)
In the event of a power failure, Liebert's NPower UPS supply (S+S) redundancy, provides ample time for stand-by generators to come online. With (S+S) redundancy, nothing short of a complete catastrophic system-wide failure could render a server offline.

Security
Access to the Canhost datacenter is strictly controlled by multi-layered electronic security and on-site personnel. Canhost utilizes video surveillance as well as motion and breach alarms. For further insight to security protocols contact a sales executive.

Fire Prevention
No water sprinkler systems are located in the Canhost facility; no plumbing is installed above or within the data storage area. Canhost ' dedicated Fire Monitoring and Alarm System will automatically detect and signal the presence of smoke or fire, alerting staff and local fire officials. The system is able to trigger a FM200 fire suppression system capable of flooding the affected room with a non-destructive suppressant gas. Unlike Halon or water sprinkler systems, the FM200 suppression system will not injure personnel or damage hardware, ensuring minimal to no down time.

Standby Diesel Generators
Canhost has a dedicated 1 MW power feed, upgradeable to 3 MW on demand, guaranteeing ample power. In addition, Cummins Power dedicated diesel generators which are tested weekly, can provide emergency power in the event of main power interruption. Unlike other datacenters located in shared facilities, Canhost ' diesel generators are not a shared resource. The Canhost facility has been built with redundant capacity. Like the rest of the facility's infrastructure, there's ample electrical generating capacity in the event of a major power failure.

Heating And Cooling Systems
Canhost ' atmospheric temperature is precisely controlled by Liebert-built A/C systems specifically designed to meet mission-critical cooling requirements. Liebert's Deluxe System/3 and its XD Series chillers, precisely control temperature, humidity, air-flow and quality.

Redundant Fiber Connectivity
Multiple fiber optic carriers and routes from the facility provide Canhost with redundancy against a catastrophic connection failure. Our facility is carrier neutral, On request clients can be provisioned with GigE or fiber from one of the fiber providers physicaly installed at the facility.
